General Festival Information:

About the Festival

2017 marks the Second Annual Arts Festival in Taos Ski Valley. The event is operated by Taos Ski Valley, Inc. in the majestic Sangre de Cristo mountains.

There will be limited space for this festival. There are no quotas of any medium, however we will do our best to organize a well balanced show.

Important Exhibitor Information:

All booths should be attended by the exhibitors at all times. Reasonable breaks are excepted however please remember exhibitors are responsible for the security of their exhibits.

Exhibitors are responsible for the security of their exhibits and equipment. TSV, Inc. recommends the removal of all valuables from the exhibit area at night, and the placement of all displays and related materials within the exhibitor’s tent.

Bears have been spotted in the evening / night time here. Please remove ALL trash, food and any other fragrant smells from tents in the evenings.

There will be a person on ‘security’ (will camp out in the venue) throughout the night on Saturday. There are no cameras in the area so please take note.

There is wifi inside and on the deck of the Bavarian Lodge. Wifi should reach your tent, however if it does not you are free to go on the deck or inside the Bavarian if you need wifi to take payment or any other reason.

There will be no power access at your tents.

Check-In / Set Up / Tear Down
All check in and setting up will occur out front of the Bavarian Lodge on Saturday morning.

Saturday, August 12th: 7:30am: check in & load in opens 7:30am – 11:15am: Exhibit set up 11:30am: Festival opens 5:00pm: Shut down for night

Sunday, August 13th: Before 11:30am: Reopen your exhibit 11:30am: Festival Opens 5:00pm: Tear down and load out

Please make sure you arrive at Taos Ski Valley by 8am to ensure your booth is set up no later than 11:30am on Saturday, August 12th when the Festival officially opens.

You may drive cars as close as possible to unload and load but no cars will be allowed in the festival area during festival hours.

Selling Artwork
Exhibitors are responsible for collecting payment for work that is sold. Please consult with your personal tax professional for tax requirements. TSVI is not responsible for the selling of artwork, collecting of payment or taxing of sales.

Layout & Showcase
Exhibitors will all be set up in front of the Bavarian Restaurant. You will be inside of our special alcohol premise which means people will be able to browse the show with their beer and wine in hand.

You will be assigned a clearly marked 10x10 space for your tent. You will also be given a sign with your name and art medium(s) listed to hang from your tent.

Display Requirements
Exhibitors are responsible for providing their own booth structures including: White canopy, racks, tables, display units or all other fixtures suitable for outdoor use. All exhibitors are required to have weights for to secure their tents. Exhibitors are encouraged to be prepared for inclement weather with appropriate rain covers and tie-downs.

Additional Information
There will be live music each day of the show. There will also be a children’s’ art tent Saturday & Sunday.
