The Taos Arts Council with guest curator Judith Kendall presents an exhibition “Patron and Painter: Alyce Frank Collects Taos” from June 16 – August 25, 2017, at Taos Town Hall, 400 Camino de la Placita, Taos, NM.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Friday, June 16 from 5:00- 7:00pm.

A special Brown Bag informal walk-through of the exhibition with Judith Kendall is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21 at 12:00 noon. Attendees are invited to bring a snack or lunch at Town Hall to enjoy before or after the tour.

“We are grateful to guest curator Judith Kendall whose insight and knowledge of the professional career and life of Alyce Frank presents a seldom seen side to the artist - her mentorship and patronage of Taos artists” says Paul Figueroa, President, Taos Arts Council.” “Alyce Frank's expressionistic landscapes are beloved throughout the Southwest and nationally” states Judith Kendall. “However, few are aware of her generosity towards Taos artists throughout more than four decades painting, on site, the northern New Mexico landscape. Frank's collection is filled with strong, independent female artists: Barbara Zaring, Marsha Oliver, Marsha Skinner, Teruko Wilde, Tray Turner Sheppard, Jennifer Lynch, Leigh Gusterson, Jane Ellen Burke and Suzanne Wiggin to name a few.”
